Generation Green is a youth led initiative with the goal of engaging Halton students in climate action leadership, and supporting them in their commitment to greenhouse gas emission reductions in order to drive change and action in their communities.
Students who join Generation Green will implement an initiative in their community that will reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. In order to make this process as easy as possible, students will have full support from the Halton Climate Collective, as well as access to several resources, webinars, and an opportunity for face to face meetings with HCC staff.
For more information and to join, visit the Generation Green page.
What Can You Do?
Let’s Read for Climate Action!
HCC Reads aims to engage the residents of Halton in reading, listening to and asking about Climate change while learning how we, as a community, can act to protect our planet. It is a program of the Halton Climate Collective and is driven by the Halton Environmental Network. There are 3 ways to get involved:
Let’s Read: We read “Saving Us” available in your local library or book store starting September 21st.
Let’s Listen: Katharine will join us and speak about her book, her journey and about climate change.
Let’s Ask: We ask Katharine questions about her book and climate change.
Simple Everyday Actions to Help the environment:
